Once again this year, Trieste Contemporanea is pleased to announce that Studio Tommaseo (Via del Monte 2/1, Trieste) will host a preview of the 2025 edition of the Piccolo Festival dell’Animazione.
The event will take place from 15 to 23 November in various locations throughout Friuli Venezia Giulia.

On Thursday 20 November, at 6 pm at Studio Tommaseo, an event with the festival curator Paola Bristot will discuss this year’s programme of short films, divided into two categories (Competizione 2 and Green Animation 1), which will then be screened on the evening of the 20th, from 8.30 pm, at the Cinema Teatro Ariston (Viale Romolo Gessi, 4, Trieste).

The Piccolo Festival dell’Animazione is organised by the Viva Comix Association, which has been presenting this fascinating international review of animated short films for 18 years. More than 100 short films are participating in the 2025 edition, many of which will then go on to the Animateka International Animation Film Festival in Ljubljana in December, which has been an important international partner of the Piccolo Festival dell’Animazione project for many editions.
