Who we are and what we do
Trieste Contemporanea cultural activities are aimed to support the production of contemporary works of art and to spread the history of visual arts in Italy and in East-Central Europe.
Trieste Contemporanea sponsors trainings and European sharing projects amongst artists and curators, specifically for young people (like the Young European Artist Award, the International Design Contest and the CEI Venice Forum for Contemporary Art Curators).
In addition to events and exhibits which run continuously, Trieste Contemporea also offers during the year meetings with artists and with the East-Central Europe most innovative visual arts, giving attention to highly experimenting profiles in which visual art gets linked to avant-garde productions in other visual creativities fields (video art, cinema and theatre)
